What’s new in Khedmah this year
1) A clearer, stronger roadmap: fintech + smart services
Following the merger, Dhofar Investments stated its intent to accelerate innovative financial services through the Khedmah platform, fast-track technology adoption, and broaden secure, accessible digital channels across communities.
Khedmah’s ecosystem direction has been reinforced publicly as one platform bringing key services together — bill payments, top-ups, e-wallet, remittances, and expanding into more lifestyle and smart services.
2) Expanded utility enablement and coverage (including Dhofar water bill payments)
A notable 2025 update was the announcement that water bill payments in Dhofar are available through Khedmah channels — including branches and digital options.
On the app side, Khedmah continues positioning itself as a single place to manage and pay electricity and water bills across providers in Oman, including Nama entities.
3) More ways to pay: digital + physical channels working together
Khedmah’s service model this year has emphasized accessibility through multiple channels — app/online plus on-ground coverage — so customers can pay and manage services using what’s most convenient.
